Words Whipping up Whimsical Waves of Notion

Are you proud of being a night owl?

Parents normally advise the kids to wake up early. Is there any advantage in being a morning bird? They tell like the morning sun rays can energise you. Then why not the moon light in night..?

I think, the night owls would be much smarter than the morning birds.

Night owls are working behind the scenes. No one is actually aware what they are doing. (Donโ€™t overthink on the stereotypical myth.)So in a way their knowledge and expertise appear to be a big surprise for you. The real smartness.. isnโ€™t it..?

  1. Thank you for making me feel proud of being a night owl. We are definitely the smartest! โค In a way, people's sun rays, are our moon light.
Mind checking out my blog and commenting your opinion as well, as I am new to this whole "blog world," would really appreciate it! Best wishes

  8. as usual…..i will be the weird one here……..you are right……working through night is a rewarding experience…….but starting early is an achievement in itself………..i switch between the two as needed……and if one doesn’t wake up early…..one is not going to know what the early bird did that morning and how early was the morning………but if you go to bed early and see someone awake atleast you know he/she has plans……..i guess its a matter of preference…………it is so strange with me……if i go to bed early…….i will most definitely wake up late……and if i go to bed late….i will wake up early…..sometimes this ruins everything…….but i enjoy them both…..but prefer starting early……..
    pardon my rantings…..i couldn’t help it….Happy Sunday!! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

  16. I’ve tried both, and I’ve found that I’m much more productive and happy when I go to bed and get up early.
The moon and stars are gorgeous, but there’s something magical about watching the sun rise.

I wonder if it has something to do with our species’ ancestry in the forests and plains of Africa? With predators like lions roaming about at night, it must’ve been a huge relief to see the pale light of dawn: when we resumed our shift as the dominant predator.

Later, when some of our ancestors made it to colder climates, morning would have been just as welcome. I’ve slept outside in Northern winters with no fire and a pitiful shelter, and I can tell you that it’s horrible. The way the cold runs down your spine is almost unbearable. Seeing the sun break over the horizon, knowing that its heat would soon follow, might have been a welcome sight. I know it was for me!

  17. I just loved this!
I’m usually an afternoon or evening sparrow, haha
But I love to be a night owl or a dawn dove!

  18. Haahaa…i love this post, happens with me when i was staying at home even my mother yelling a lot on this habit of mine whenever she visits at my place now.
I feel we are living for money & society in day time but what we do at nights it belongs to ourselves only that why its more of hidden & suspicious(like i used to do my writing work at nights).

  20. I’m a night owl but I have seen the difference studying in morning hrs and late night. It’s always good to work early in the morning because your mind is not tired as you got enough sleep in the night. But it’s just not my thing.getting up from bed that early is really tough for me.

  24. I personally feel that night is the best time to do any creative work. I feel jealous of those people who say they have insomnia.
Anyways a sound and continuous sleep is also the must.
Convinced a bit with your thoughts though.
Lovely post, have a great day.

  28. Akhila, nice thought (Y) Anyways, I am also a night owl because nights are the best time to study, to think about yourself deeper and when the whole world goes to bed, it’s the actual time to start a day. And i guess that after all the chaos and stress during the entire day, it is the best time to relief yourself. โค ๐Ÿ™‚

  30. Count me as an early bird. I have grown up with my father telling me ‘early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy wealthy and wise’, not sure about the wealthy bit but definitely healthy! Being an early riser has an advantage of completing your chores quickly and having more time for yourself.
Night owls have their share of advantages but just that it is not me!

      • I loved to sleep in during my holidays in Kerala but every person in the family would remind be hours before going to bed the importance of getting up early, that till today I feel guilty for sleeping in a little longer than required. Yes, you need to find what works best for you!
