Does she really a need a degree on her shoulder to prepare homely food?

Why are you complaining on denial of opportunities of education to a girl while more number of girls than boys are seen as faculties in schools and colleges? Oh, it’s a great achievement since she is not only educated but employed also. And yes, teaching is a safe and less hectic job for her, thinking from her parents’ perspectives.

Alas!
Feel pity on these cultured senseless thoughts

Why should a woman be educated while her whole purpose is just to get engaged in house hold stuffs? There are many uneducated women who manage home pretty well. So what’s the need of having a degree on her shoulder to prepare homely food? Is it just an entry pass in the matrimonial websites?

There has been lots of progress in the field of female education. Never forgetting that progress as well as the contributions of brave historic women, let me ask “Does that progress trend really match with the number of employed women in the country right now?”

Or may be woman education is for controlling the population as she won’t get married at an early stage unlike the uneducated women. Pheww…

The Pradita Chronicles

Today I’m angry…. beyond words. I’m furiously typing this on my phone because I don’t want to waste time by going to my laptop, switching it on, logging in and what not and risk losing my chain of thoughts… or my anger.

I’m angry at every parent who dares to show their girl-child that she can dream of real equality. I am angry at every son who thinks that he deserves an educated woman who will quit her aspirations and ambitions just to make him ‘ghar ka khana‘ (home-made food). I’m angry at every girl who listens to such dimwits.

I’ll tell you the source of this anger…

I got off a phone call from a friend who told me she had left her well paying job as a Software Engineer only to reprise the role of a homemaker, becauseno one in her husband’s family supported her work

I am on my Periods

“I am on my Periods, I am bleeding”, how it can be different from breathing or digesting. It’s just another very normal biological phenomenon.

But people are uncomfortable to talk about it; they feel embarrassed even if they talk about it…Another stereotypic impression.

“We are not shy anymore. We are not dealing with any nuclear bombs as Shreya said. We, the girls are likely to bleed for between 2,000 to 3,000-plus days in our lifetimes. So this bloody thing is no more a taboo.”

Few days ago, I had gone to a nearby shop to buy sanitary pads and it was when I noticed that shopkeeper was looking for a newspaper to wrap up the packet in it to ensure the thing won’t be visible even before putting it in a poly bag. He took about a couple of minutes for the task and I was already getting restless to leave. So I just told him, ”Uncle bomb nhi hai, esehi dedo” (“It’s not a nuclear bomb, give it as it is”). And then his expression was indescribable as he saw me weirdly without saying anything and handed it to me directly putting it into poly bag. I left.

The above incident hasn’t happened just only at a particular place but I have noticed such happenings in various places. How pathetic! The thing could appear a jiffy matter to anyone but no doubt, these…

Our body is the first wonder in the world

We have time to learn the 7 wonders in the world. But hardly have we appreciated the real wonders in a living body. I have senses to perceive the world, legs to walk, hands to hold you and so many miracles. Above all I have a mind too, which science can answer the mind processing in the perfect way?

How wonderful our body is! While living in a technologically miraculous world, rarely we recognise the real miracle, the birth. Hats off to the great creator.

Half of February is done. I hope the high tide of love that knocked at our doors hasn’t turned low after the conclusion of Valentine’s day.

I was just checking through my news feed on Facebook and I came across a video which showed the development of a child fromFecundationtill birth. Amazing video.

I don’t know how many of us actually know how sophisticated our bodies are. We spend time studying the software and hardware around us, but we don’t realise that the best technology actually exists in our very own body.

For instance, eating food. Such an easy process, just chew and swallow. However, it’s not that simple. There is so many mechanisms and processes involved in the background. One step goes wrong and that’s when we even notice. We call it disease.

During our development in our mother’s womb, there are so many things that need…

What makes a woman truly perfect?

He said,
“I love the black mascara on your eyes
I love your rosy lips and bubbly cheeks
I love the red bindi on your forehead
But I love you more without those bindi or mascara or lipsticks”

Her inner self whispered “I’m ME. He is magnetized and excited about me. I am one of a kind. Nothing can beat my confidence. My personality and confidence defines my magnificence.”

CALL ME A BITCH.

A man with his own opinions is an intellectual; while a woman with her opinions is a bitch!
Ughh! Is this the civilized thinking..
This is definitely not a generalized post and not at all trying to crucify the entire male generation. There are adorable men too in this “awesome” world. And with due to respect to them, let me share this painful female voice for you.

Just a quick disclaimer. I don’t wish to offend anyone.

I live in India. But the issue on which I’m going to talk about is for all the women out there. No matter where you live, what you do. Some recent happenings propelled me to write this. I hope I do justice through my words.
Firstly, women are way beyond boobs and asses. It is not the only thing that makes a woman A WOMAN. Scientifically speaking absence of Y chromosome makes a woman. It makes me wonder sometimes that is it just because of the physical attributes MAN nad WOMEN are characterized. Why can’t it be just HUMANS. Ok.. so back to the point. Most of us believe that women are weak in some way. Because I see a separate queue for women in banks, I see reservations for women in posts, colleges, companies. But wait a minute.. Are…

A scream

Let us be Durgas and not Sitas

bookscrazyanagha

Is it a curse?

or malediction perhaps worse,

to be a born as a girl,

In this wretched world.

Confined or caged,

we are nothing different than a immure bird.

predicted to caper around with barbie dolls,

and act as dull witted damsel in distress.

what are we considered ?

perhaps a burden laden

on our loved ones.

Or a liability in the household.

useless we are assessed,

never did we get a chance?

to prove ourselves.

Is it our mistake?

that we are born a girl.

Only if I was ever given a choice

I would have chose to be a boy…..

why is that ?

you slit down our wings,

and asked us to fly.

tied our legs together ,

and asked us to run…

what we can give you

is a sarcastic chuckle…

for you forgot to lookout

for the fire beneath the dainty lashes….

confined beneath…
