The unquenchable thirst

Published by

He met her. Knew that it was someone else’s wife. Initially it was just a fascination,  then love and later it turned out to be a thought to own her, a harmful obsession.

Is this not the same feeling ruling rapists..? Are they also having the similar obsession, may be on a different rate..?

(To make it clear, in this post, my intention is neither to question the faithfulness of spouses nor to violate the universal attraction law)

I don’t think rapists have any sense of love in their intentions. When there is love automatically there is respect.

    I don’t know what should I say , what to suggest .

I would say force should not be applied in any human transactions else bliss becomes curse .

Beautiful things turns ugly. Honey becomes poison . Freedom becomes prison. Light become darkness . Pleasure becomes pain.

I always see things in holistic views !

The myth people have while getting attracted to someone is later they want to own them instead of loving or caring about them.

    This is the root cause.

See, Akhila nobody wants that to happen. In my case too, (I don’t wanna drag myself) there are girls who talk for a while and later they become possessive. What does it mean they try to own. Well, my next reaction is harsh.

Hence, I really think it’s not everyone’s cup of tea to think in a way that you do. 😉

“Uncontrollable Lust” that’s what I see… Love as far my experience goes is when you both want each other happy. It’s not a one sided affair…love is not what just makes you happy but you see to it that your significant other is happy too… So rape is out of question…Adultery can turn into love, because physical relation is also an expression of love, but obsession of anything is not good then how can it be for a person :)… 😊

Thanks shefali…definitely there is no love in rape, it is out of question..i was trying to say that when you are trying to own someone else without their will, even it is a mental rape….

Dear Akhila, no rapist know the feeling of love. Nobody can harm others whom the love. Like the addiction to alcohol, a sort of excessive addition to sexual feelings is a type of madness that leads to rape. It’s a sort of timely madness. Affectionate care and control is needed to help people to free from this disastrous disease.

Thanks ambu….as u said it is out of question even to find out love in rape…now assume, you found someone attractive, initially it was just an infatuation, then love, then a desire to possess her even if she is married..an unquenchable thirst..i was comparing this feeling eith that of rapists…maybe a mental rape

There are multiple viewpoints for this topic.
    1. See not everyone is happy from an arranged marriage and all such people have the right to speak about it to their families and get over it rather than spending whole life repenting for the choice one made in the first place. In India. “log kya kahenge” is a priority to one’s own happiness. And that’s ridiculous. So my point is if a woman (as mentioned in your post) is not happy she must make a decision and move on. And it happens so many times that after getting into a relationship or marriage, people find their true love later and they just can’t help themselves then.
    2. What rapists think is totally opposite. They carve for physical needs. It is due to the easy access made to adult pornography and misguided minds. Education is a good solution for this. There are tons of people living on streets and slums. We should educate them. And it’s not like high class people don’t rape. They do. For them, knocking them down is a option. I am of a opinion that rapists should be hanged to death. No trials, no grievance, nothing.

I agree to the second point. But on the first case, what i feel is, it is dangerous when someone try to own some other without their consent, physically or even mentally..that’s why i felt it also to be somewhat similar to the thought behind rapes..

Another nice question you raised Akhila. Rape and love are two different things, one leads to hell and the other makes you feel in heaven. But if one happens to be wanting an adulterous relationship, it will be sinful because there would be so many innocent people (spouse, kids etc) who would be hurt. Love is always noble and one should not commit adultery in love. It defiles this noble emotion, which thrives on giving!
