I am raped..

“I am raped, brutally raped.. Media are celebrating me..”

.

.

“Oh ! thank God.. It’s not me..” Is this not the first feeling flooding into your mind reading newspapers or watching television news?

Then we all sympathize or empathize.. That’s all we can do or we are doing.. Merely word plays. Even I am not an exception to this word play.

How can the actions work before words start their play?

Can we really shoe her position and understand the torture and help her rescued?

I do believe in Ahimsa. But what if Ahimsa fails in a selfish world..?

It is high time to start the game of revenge as there is no heart not only for rapists but for laws also..

Again: women worldwide can prevent rape with something invented by a South African woman named Sonette Elders. It’s like a cross between a diaphragm and condom which a woman inserts. It has barbs in it which can only be removed surgcally should the guy try to rape a woman. It’s here:

Beparvah!!, thank you for checking out our material about RapeX, and for liking so many of our posts. At this point we hope to make RapeX go viral, not so that we get attention – that’s NOT why we are at WordPress. If women worldwide can be safer from the depredations of men who think it is their right to sexually use others for their own sadistic pleasure, we’ll feel we’ve done a small bit to help. Who knows but that some enterprising woman in India – such as Gurumaa Anandmurti, who certainly looks out for women and girls – can finance or support making something similar.

I wanted to think carefully about my response. Were I thirty or forty years younger and living in your jurisdiction in India, we would probably get along just fine. Where I am in the US, I was “on the other side,” so to speak, but throughout my life had cordial relations with a number of policemen. This was because we shared a number of ideals. Certain drugs bring guns; so we would often work together to get the gun carriers off the streets. Violence against children, especially rape, was not tolerated on either side; and so it goes. I’m 68 now, and luckily, survived, but I hope that across the world, real policemen (such as you seem to be) and the occasional honorable crook can work together for the common weal. May all that is good go with you, and – local blessing – be safe!

My initial feelings were why it no one helped.? Then I read a stat that the rapist is known individual to the victim most of the time – very high percent. Regarding the punishment – we as in the govt is unable to take or make strong punishment/law for such crime becoz the amount of false cases are also high.

That’s the excuse, the propaganda which, if you think about it, turns the blame back unto women again. With DNA testing, there can be no excuse for not getting arrests and convictions. Many web sites explain the procedure and it’s getting better all the time. Here’s one website:

Rape should never happen to anyone. All woman don’t rape and all men don’t rape. Perhaps something happened to rapist to make them commit acts of rape. That is not a pass for a rapist to rape. But again when people are hurt they hurt others. Example, a rapist rapes, their victim is now hurt and seeks justice and revenge. Victim closes themselves off to others losses trust for people, thinks people want to rape them again, knows not how to love… further hurting themselves or anyone who genuinely wants to love them. Victim is hurting themselves now because we all need love to survive. Hurt people again hurting people. Religions that promote rape are not religions at all.. it’s not even the religion, it’s the interpreter. Example, Christianity promotes man protecting wife. If you protect your wife, do you rape her. NO!! man and woman are equal. Hurt people divide the two makes some think one is over the other, vice versa. Bottom line rape should never happen to anyone. Looking for a solution to stop the hurtful cycle exist in the future not the past because it’s still happening. It’s like trying to stop people from killing each other. Compassion for victim’s of rape, murder, discrimination, poverty, disease.. do these things not all tie into each other somehow. To create either a victim or offended???

Akhila, from my point of view, the media plays it up for ratings and the Patriarchy encourages it because the more the media talks up a storm about wars, rape, genocide and natural catastrophe’s, the less people “feel” their impact. It becomes entertainment and background noise. Perhaps the time has come for women committed to his cause to form a movement and begin protest and demonstrations, a movement so powerful that it keeps these protests up no matter what until the acquiescing male powers are forced to come to terms with it. I’m thinking something on the scale of the suffragette movement that finally got women the vote. Women died all sorts of things to promote their cause, including denying sex to their husbands, refusing to stay at home, and even being jailed and publicly ridiculed and lampooned in political satire. Remember, that was a time when Christian theologians claimed women didn’t have souls, and science claimed women were less intelligent than men because their heads were smaller. As my history teacher used to say, “The more things change, the more they stay the same.”

Sorry, can’t make this any shorter: some questions for all…
I followed the entire thread as this problem of violence against women – misogyny – has been a life-long concern. Currently I’ve achieved what I consider to be a high level of compassionate thought and interaction. I know that compassion isn’t a weak thing, nor is it unjust. It is not ahimsa – I think it runs much deeper because it concerns itself with much more than the self: it observes and JUDGES all things. As a compassionate being in a dysfunctional system, confronted with a raped and abused victim, my approach to the perpetrator is totally clear: punishment must happen. Castration is mandatory, unless the perp asks for death. I would give him (or her!) the choice to choose suicide to rid society of that burden. Extra-judicial execution would also be an alternative when nothing else works.
Now please take a step back and look at the reason these crimes are perpetrated on earth, upon women and their children. They were either rare or non-existent in non-civilized societies, so the problem resides in how Earthian society, or civilization, is imposed and manipulated. The real problem lies in the process of civilizing and from my observation, “man” needs to back away from civilizing and into natural living once more. Try to imagine the many societal problems that could no longer be possible in an “uncivilized” world.
I understand why so much talk of punishing perps and I fully sympathize. Only in a completely empathetic society will these crimes disappear. But realize this: your soldiers are just as criminally responsible of crimes against women and children, and humanity, every day. If you endorse that, your fight against rape is already lost. All or nothing. If “the Media” “celebrates” a victim of crime, it’s not because it cares, it’s because of ratings. So TURN IT ALL OFF, right now, and forever. Do not join the “celebration” either for or against.
Finally, is there going to be real action from this? What is going to be done? Form groups of female vigilantes? Find the rapists and kill them? Find the lawyers who defend them, the judges who set them free, the men who employ them, and kill them all? Are women going to enteer into a no-sex “satyagraha” or non-violent non-cooperation, refusing to enter into romantic relationships, refusing to sleep with men, refusing to bear them children? Should women form “women only” communities and ban men from such? All that has been tried, and done before. Read “The Chalice and the Blade” by Riane Eisler, and the many other anthropological works of research done on how women have tried to defend themselves against an imposed PATRIARCHY in ages past. Can we learn from their sacrifices, their martyrdom, their destruction and enslavement as each effort was brutally crushed? How do we proceed? Hopefully not like the turkey gobbler strutting around in a slaughter pen before Thanksgiving saying, “Now that we’re organized, what do we do?”

The subject of rape, I think, runs even deeper than that of war, yet they are interconnected since war is also the worst kind of violent rape, done openly for profit. If we connect the difficult threads of certain aspects of civilization; if we dare look way back at our civilized roots and before that, we see certain patterns emerging that expose our so-called civilization as a concept of massive control through fear, instability, insecurity, dependency which all lead to deliberate violence against the weak, the poor, the marginalized. In civilized societies women form the greatest marginalized and oppressed group. Such a condition surpasses understanding because it makes absolutely NO SENSE. Women, by their position should be automatically revered and all things done on earth would be to make their lives better: safer, easier, happier, etc. There is nothing to man (as an individual) that can be more precious than a woman. For one, she is the source of his greatest physical pleasure, bar none. Beyond that, she is his immediate comforter, cooking, cleaning, looking after his children; his trusted and trusting companion, his defender when he screws up in the eyes of the world, the one who stands by him through thick or thin – therefore his misogyny is a sickness, utter madness. What causes it? The Patriarchy. Who established that controlling system? Man’s “Gods” – and in this women are just as guilty as men because in many cases it is the women who support these Patriarchal, openly misogynist “Gods” as we see throughout history. Women give themselves to the service of their worst oppressors and believe they are being holy. For Christians the story begins at Genesis, chapter 2 of their Bible, the “creation” of Adam and Eve, with Eve being framed and saddled with the first and deadly sin of disobedience. That this farce is taken seriously by billions of people says much: it’s brainwashing designed to crush the female will and keep her in slave status. Rape is condoned by the Patriarchy for the same reason: to keep women in fear of men, dependent upon them for protection and thus socially and economically disempowered. Another too long comment, but so much could be said. Look back, way back, and you’ll see through the fog how this came to be. When we understand the root of a problem, that’s when we begin to see how it may be resolved.

You are absolutely right…it is very much rooted in the evilness of patriarchal dominance. Interestingly i feel a different thought..wht if women start to rape men …maybe be it is difficult for a girl to understand, including myself…and ultimately what i think is, she needs to enhance her muscle power, not only to protect but also to protest

Stringent laws are only useful when implemented, and since most of the time they aren’t, we have to take matters into our own hand within reasonable limit. I feel mortified even thinking about how the victims live after rape, and we cannot pretend to understand it. Ahimsa won’t cut it, and we don’t live in the world of Batman where it’s “Justice, not vengeance”. Justice doesn’t work.

The criminal gets bail 😦 I mean, just how…..that itself portrays everything that’s wrong with the system. Giving them the ultimate punishment isn’t the solution either, since that will just increase the murder count after rape. Only thing to do is trying to deal it ourselves cleverly, standing up and face them with preferably a self-defence training every girl should learn.

Ha..you said it…whom to be blamed for this evilness…whom to make them understand on their psychopathy …yes, only weapons can teach them a lesson

Revenge and violence are self-generating. The culture can only be changed through strength of action as Ghandi demonstrated. If people defiantly stand up against atrocities, peacefully, and demand justice, then they can achieve anything.
This culture of misogyny and revenge has to stop. Rapists need locking up for a long time. The police and courts need to act.

Hmm..but you know when the law and police fail, the distress starts..people take weapons…they can’t be blamed if they forget the path of ahimsa

Indeed I am encouraging you. I believe in compromising upto a certain limit which we decide. Limit crossed, weapons in hand. That’s straight and simple.

So what do you think as to my perception we can’t teach lessons for this hideous crime..its better to kill those bastards as rape kills a soul inside.

I totally agree in this aggressive world we should think of ahimsa in a limited way and should seek revenge in every form when a girl is being raped to let others learn a scary lesson in fact, few years back when i read these kind of news i thought of a solution a brutal one to let crocodiles take care of rapist, no mercy at all.

    Good Morning !

Women are all fierce.<3 We all have the same right that men have but difference lies in the mentality which cannot be changed even after making laws. What u say? and these lines gave me goosebumps,“I am raped, brutally raped.. Media are celebrating me..” Stunning ❤ 🙂

When it’s about rape,no ahimsa should hamper the sickness that exists outside.Ahimsa is good to certain level, but things can be done by million ways and the solution of rape is direct action..productive action.
